This is cover which will protect you if your cellphone, laptop, tablet or jewellery item has been lost, stolen or damaged.
TFG Device Insurance offers you cover against loss, theft and damage (including water damage) of your cellphone, tablet or laptop. We will repair, or if that’s not possible, replace your cellphone, tablet or laptop. You will be able to choose a replacement cellphone, tablet or laptop from a TFG store which has a purchase price in a TFG store of not more than the original selling price of your cellphone, tablet or laptop at the time you purchased it.
The monthly premium for TFG Device Insurance is conveniently debited and collected from either your TFG store account or your personal bank account.

Terms and conditions apply. We only insure cellphones, tablets and laptops which are purchased from a TFG (The Foschini Group) store in South Africa. Cover must be taken out within 30 days of purchase. We insure cellphones and tablets up to a maximum purchase price of R15 000, and laptops up to a maximum purchase price of R12 000. Only the user of the cellphone, tablet or laptop will be covered. If a claim is approved, there is an excess applicable.

The Foschini Group (TFG) offers you Jewellery Insurance against damage, theft and loss.
What we insure:
We repair or, if that’s not possible, replace insured jewellery or watches if it’s damaged. This includes damage such as the breaking, cracking and scratching of your jewellery item(s) or its glass components, including damage caused by fire or earthquake; except where the damage is caused by reckless or deliberate acts. If your jewellery item(s) is lost or stolen, we will replace the insured jewellery item. Should your jewellery item(s) or watch be damaged, we will repair it or, if that’s not possible, we will replace the insured jewellery item. Where we cannot replace the insured jewellery item with exactly the same item, because the same item is no longer available, we will replace it with a similar item of the same original selling price.
Choose your cover:
You choose which insurance option suits your needs. You can choose to insure your jewellery or watch for a fixed term of either 12 (twelve) months or 24 (twenty four) months(only available in TFG stores), or for an indefinite period on a month to month basis until the policy ends.
How much you pay
If you insure your jewellery or watch for:
- A fixed term of 12 months: You’ll pay 10% of the original selling price of the piece of jewellery or watch upfront.
- A fixed term of 24 months: You’ll pay 20% of the original selling price of the piece of jewellery or watch upfront.
- An indefinite period on a month to month basis, the premiums will be as follows:

What’s more, you choose whether you’d like to pay your premium via debit order(only available in TFG stores) or your TFG store account.

Jewellery Insurance is only available when the jewellery item or watch is purchased from American Swiss, Sterns and Foschini jewellery boutique stores. Insurance cover on the item purchased commences immediately and is subject to an excess.
